Bio
Athletic Counselor Albert Loaiza begins his third year with College of the Canyons.
Loaiza's duties include helping student-athletes planning and monitoring their academic progress and helping them reach their academic goals.
Prior to joining the Cougars, Loaiza worked at Citrus College for two years as a STEM and transfer counselor. Before joining Citrus College, Loaiza started his counseling career at Mt. San Jacinto as an adjunct counselor, working with the student-athletes.
He graduated from California State University, San Bernardiono in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in sociology and earned a master's degree in counseling from the University of La Verne in 2008.
In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, going to the beach and watching sports. Loaiza resides in Valencia with his wife, Colleen.
