Cougars Beat Mission, Thanks To Six-Run Sixth Inning
The College of the Canyons baseball team won its six straight game with a 14-5 conference victory over Mission College on Saturday afternoon.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons baseball team won its six straight game with a 14-5 conference victory over Mission College on Saturday afternoon.
Pitcher Steven Farnworth won his third game of the season, as he threw six innings and gave up three earned runs.
The Cougars were up 8-5 after five innings, but then they scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth to break open the game. Infielder Quincy Quintero started it off with a 2-run double and then right fielder Kevin Lenik hit a 3-run homer.
COC relief pitchers Allen Sarkissian and Julian Garcia combined for three shutout innings, while Lenik and third baseman Trey Williams combined for two homers and four RBIs. Catcher Alex Bishop went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and an RBI.
The Cougars will travel to Mission College on Tuesday, March 19 for a 2 p.m. game.
