SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Outfielder David Oppenheim turned in two home runs and notched four RBIs helping College of the Canyons defeat West LA College, 8-3, on Thursday afternoon at Cougar Field. With the victory, COC improves to 17-13-1 and 13-5 in conference, while West LA College drops to 4-25 and 3-15 in Western State Conference, South Division play.
Joseph Cloney (7-2) earned his seventh victory of the season after tossing 8.0 innings and giving up one run on four hits, while striking out nine batters.
Oppenheim finished 3-of-4 with two runs and Roberto Ramos was 3-of-5 with two RBIs and one run.
Canyons will host first-place LA Mission College on Friday, April 11 at 2:30 p.m.
