Canyons Baseball No. 13 in SoCal According to Latest CCCBCA Poll
Canyons (9-5) is winners of back-to-back games having started its Western State Conference (WSC), South schedule on Tuesday.
The College of the Canyons baseball program is the No. 13 ranked team in Southern California according to the most recent California Community College Baseball Coaches Association (CCCBCA) poll, released March 3.

On Tuesday, COC head coach Chris Cota and the Cougars defeated visiting Antelope Valley College 5-4. On Thursday, COC came away with a 7-3 victory over No. 20 Citrus College after scoring five runs in the top of the ninth inning.
At the plate, sophomore shortstop Jose Haros and freshman outfielder Roy Verdejo have both hit the ball well to lead a strong Canyons lineup.
COC will continue its WSC, South schedule when the Cougars host L.A. Valley College at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7.
