Canyons QB Tooni Ikahihifo Named SCFA Co-Offensive Player of the Week
Ikahihifo finished the game 19-of-34 for 355 yards and five passing touchdowns, while adding 87 yards and another score on the ground.

College of the Canyons sophomore quarterback Tooni Ikahihifo has been named the Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Palomar College in week four.
Ikahihifo, who was making his first start for the Cougars, finished the game 19-of-34 for 355 yards and five passing touchdowns. The sophomore also added 87 yards on nine carries and a rushing touchdown to lead the Cougars on the ground. Ikahihifo's two touchdown strikes in the fourth quarter were essential in helping the Cougars to defeat No. 21 Palomar College 42-30.

Canyons (4-0) entered the game vs. Palomar ranked No. 5 in both the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll and the JC Athletic Bureau Head Coaches Poll.
The Cougars will next face Riverside City College (3-1) at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 at Cougar Stadium.
