Title: Wide Receivers Assistant
Year: 1st Year

Jerome Wright begins his first season as a member of the Cougar football coaching staff in 2018.

Wright serves as the team’s assistant wide receivers coach, while also assisting with special teams units.

Prior to joining the staff at Canyons, Wright was the wide receivers coach at Antelope Valley College where he also starred as a player.

After playing at Highland High School, Wright attended AVC from 2000 to 2002 and set program records for career receptions, receiving yards, catches in a game and catches in a season. He was also the first 1,000-yard receiver in program history.

Wright eventually earned a scholarship to University of Utah and was a member of the school’s 2004 team that finished the season ranked No. 4 in the nation with a 12-0 record after winning the BCS Fiesta Bowl.

While at Utah, Wright earned a bachelor of science in communications. He later went on to earn a master’s degree in physical education with an emphasis in coaching from Azusa Pacific University.

Wright currently resides in Lancaster with his wife, Camilla, and children O’rel, Jiselle and Benicio.
