The College of the Canyons men's basketball team remains winless in Western State Conference (WSC) play after losing 86-61 to No. 12 state ranked Bakersfield College at home on Wednesday night.
Despite sophomore guard Victor Nwaba leading all scorers with 24 points, Canyons could not keep pace with the high powered Bakersfield lineup.
Nwaba added seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in the losing effort. On the season the sophomore is averaging a team-best 17.6 points per game.
COC freshman forward Caden Bradley added nine points, six rebounds and two steals off the bench.
Sophomore guard Jalen Ewell had eight points, six rebounds and a team-high three blocks vs the Renegades.
Canyons (5-16, 0-9) will next travel to Glendale College (10-11, 6-3) at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6
