Cougars Get Clawed 79-56 at Glendale

The College of the Canyons men's basketball team remains winless in conference play after losing 79-56 to host Glendale College on Saturday evening.
COC freshman guard Alex Sanchez led all scorers with 26 points, shooting 8-for-11 from the field. He also added four rebounds and an assist.
As a team the Cougars shot a combined 21-of-48 to post a 43.8 percent field goal percentage. Glendale meanwhile shot 53 percent from the field, while also winning the battle on the boards.
Canyons sophomore guard Victor Nwaba added nine points, a block and a steal vs. the Vaqueros.
Freshman guard Jacob Tobon had seven points and a team-high five assists.
Freshman forward Caden Bradley led the team with five rebounds, and also chipped in with four points and two steals.
Canyons (5-17, 0-10 WSC) will host Citrus College (11-12, 5-5) at 7 p.m. Wednesday night in the Cougar Cage.
