Canyons Gets Fifth Straight with Trip to L.A. Harbor

The College of the Canyons men's basketball team won its fifth consecutive game on Friday after battling to an 85-79 road win at L.A. Harbor College.

In the contest vs. L.A. Harbor the Cougars shot a combined 50 percent from the field, and an impressive 68 percent from three-point land.
COC sophomore guard Garrett Mike led the team with 20 points off the bench, to go with five rebounds and three assists. Mike is averaging 10.9 points per game in during the Cougars' current win streak.
Freshman guard Jacob Lilley added 17 points and 10 assists to record his first double-double of the season.
Michael Kalu continued to be a force for the Cougars with 12 points, four rebounds and two assists. Kalu has now scored in double-digits in the last five games streak.
Freshman Garrett Harding finished his night with 11 points, adding three more boards to help the Cougars to victory. Guard Jason Horosny and forward Chris Collins came up with nine points apiece. Horsony also added eight rebounds. Collins finished the game with six.
Alex Sanchez rounded out the scoring with seven points and eight boards.
COC will return to action at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, vs. L.A. Pierce College at the Cougar Cage.
