No. 18 Canyons Back in Win Column 71-63 Over San Diego Mesa
The Cougars (6-2) trailed at halftime but came back behind 17 points from Andrew Henderson.

The Cougars had four players score in double digits, led by 17 from Andrew Henderson, and shot better than 47 percent from the field as a team to take down visiting San Diego Mesa College 71-63 at the Cougar Cage on Friday.
No. 18 state ranked College of the Canyons (6-2) got back in the win column, despite trailing 27-24 at halftime. COC had lost 64-55 on the road at Long Beach City College its last time out.
Canyons received 15 bench points in the first half to help keep pace with an Olympians team that was paced by eight points from William Bailey. He finished the contest with a game-high 19 points.
The Cougars came alive in the second half with Henderson pouring in 15 points and grabbing seven rebounds to help drive that effort.
Dillon Barrientos was equally effective with nine points and three assists in the second half, going 5-of-6 from the foul line. Barrientos finished the game with 11 points.
King Miller added to the second-half surge with nine points in just eight minutes. Corwin Smith scored eight of his 12 points down the stretch as Canyons was able to build a lead over the Olympians.
Henderson's eight boards led the Cougars and Barrientos was next with five.
San Diego Mesa struggled to a 44 percent mark from the foul line, finishing 11-of-25. COC was 18-of-29 to finish above 62 percent for the night.
Canyons continues its three-game homestand by hosting Cypress College on Friday, Dec. 9 at the Cougar Cage. COC will then welcome Rio Hondo College on Saturday, Dec. 11.
