CULVER CITY — College of the Canyons took another hit in conference play Wednesday night after a visit with the West Los Angeles Wildcats resulted in an 85-73 road loss.

The Cougars (10-9, 1-4) and Wildcats went back and forth exchanging leads throughout the majority of the game.

It wasn't until 13 minutes left in the second half that West L.A. (12-7, 4-1) managed to take off and hold the lead till the final buzzer.

The Wildcats shot 54.4 percent from the floor while the Cougars grappled with a 38.7 percent mark.

However, sophomore Andrew Henderson netted 26 points in his 30 minutes of work, shooting 10-of-19 and putting down a trio of three-pointers.

Canyons freshman Jonah El-Farra shot a solid 8-of-12, good for 17 points on the night.

Compared to the Cougar's nine points off the bench, the Wildcats' reserves combined to score 48 points, with 24 of those attributed to West L.A. freshman Benjamin Ramirez.

Though the Cougars forced 22 Wildcat turnovers, it wasn't enough to contain West LA's late offensive surge.
