SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons men's soccer team gave up a goal in the 74th minute of Friday's match up with Santa Monica College, which tied the game at 3-3 in the final game of the regular season. COC finished the season with a 4-10-6 and 3-8-5 record in conference.
Canyons opened up a 2-0 lead with two quick goals from Steven Jusko and Jordan Markovich. Santa Monica scored two goals, one to right before halftime and the other to start the second half, to tie the game at 2-all.
Canyons took the lead back in the 72nd minute on a lob from Carlos Palacios to Mayro Gomez who placed the ball in the back of the net. COC's 3-2 lead would be short lived as the Corsairs scored two minutes later.
