SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The COC men's soccer team took a Halloween trip up the coast to face Allan Hancock, and returned home with a 4-1 WSC South victory.
Canyons received bookend goals from defender Juan Camacho, who put the Cougars on the board in the 16th minute with an assist from Chris Tumasone, before later closing out the COC attack with his second goal of the game in the 78th minute.
COC and Hancock would enter halftime tied at 1-1, but the Cougars came out firing in the second half.
Freshman Oscar Sanchez netted a goal in the 53rd minute to break the tie, and forward Philip Boscacci followed that effort with a goal of his own in the 61st minute. Thomas Pugliese and Andy Ruiz assisted on COC's respective scoring plays.
The Cougars (9-2-5, 7-1-5) have now won back-to-back games after playing to a draw with Santa Barbara on Oct. 24.
Canyons will stay on the road to face Citrus College on Tuesday. Nov. 4
