Bio

Adonay Jovel begins his fourth season with the College of the Canyons men’s soccer program in 2019.

A former community college student-athlete himself, Jovel played soccer at Moorpark College for two seasons (1999, 2004) where he starred as a midfielder and team captain.

Prior to entering the collegiate ranks Jovel also played soccer at Birmingham High School.

Jovel earned an associate degree from Moorpark College and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge. He is currently working toward a master’s degree in coaching from Ohio University and holds a United States Soccer Federation National B License for Coaching

His goal is to one day be the head coach of a collegiate soccer program.

When not on the sidelines Jovel, who also continues to play soccer, enjoys hiking, spending time with family and watching his six children ages 16 to 7 play youth soccer.

He lives in Canyon Country with his wife Karen.
