Canyons Caps Season at CCCAA State Championships; Ellis Makes History with State Title Run
Sophomore Díani Ellis become just the second individual state champion in COC women's track & field history with her first place time of 11:15.61 in the 3,000m steeplechase.

The Cougars will send a combined 14 student-athletes to compete in 13 events. Action gets underway at 11:30 a.m. on Friday and will continue through Saturday evening.

COC sophomore Jasmine Hall took first in the javelin and high jump events.The Cougars will send 28 student-athletes to compete in 46 spots across 31 events at CCCAA SoCal Championships.

Current and Former Cougars Compete at Beach Invitational
Canyons competed against a field of student-athletes primarily representing four-year schools from across the nation with Randle Williams (Metropolitan State University of Denver), Cole Mears (UC San Diego), James Chevious (Northern Arizona University), Sike Azu-Irondi (UC Santa Barbara) and Dominique Dowell (UC Riverside) all spotted at the event.

Two Cougars Compete at SoCal Heptathlon/Decathlon Championships
Jasmine Hall finished second in the heptathlon and Zachary Larson finished fifth in the decathlon to earn a trip to next month's CCCAA State Championship meet.

The Cougars combined to win 11 events and finish runner up in 12 more. COC has now swept back-to-back conference meets, while the women’s team has won all three WSC events this season.

COC fared well in all event categories, with Cougars taking home eight first place finishes in a combination of sprints, distance, throwing, jumping and relay events. Women's team finished first at the meet, and men's team was third.
