Osorio Shines as Sole Entrant at Oxy Distance Carnival

College of the Canyons took one Cougar to compete in the Occidental College Distance Carnival, with freshman Milca Osorio earning the opportunity to compete against runners from a field that included several four-year schools.
Osorio, running in her first 10,000m event of the season, clocked a time of 39:25.61 to claim the eighth spot in the field of 20 entrants.
COC next competes at the Azusa Pacific University Franson Classic on Saturday, March 19. Events are set to get under at 12 p.m. in the meet that will feature a combination of four-year schools and community colleges from across the region.
