SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – College of the Canyons forward Jazzmyn Davis has signed a letter of intent with Division II University of Hawaii at Hilo.
"Jazzmyn had two outstanding seasons for us and her contributions will be missed," COC head women's basketball coach Greg Herrick said.
The Birmingham High School alum was a two-time First-Team All-Western State Conference selection and a Third-Team All-State honoree after her freshman season. The 5-foot-10-inch Davis poured in 14.0 ppg and pulled down 10.9 rpg during her two seasons with the Cougars, while averaging a double-double both years.
Davis becomes the third player to transfer to Hawaii at Hilo under Herrick and the 32nd player to earn an athletic scholarship under the 20-year head coach. Jana Kovar and Hina Kimitete also played for the Vulcans.
The Vulcans are led by head coach David Kaneshiro, who helped the team finish the 2011-12 campaign with a 14-12 overall record and an 11-7 record in the Pacific West Conference.
