COC Avenges Early Season Loss Against Citrus
The College of the Canyons women's basketball team continued its winning streak with a 86-66 victory over Citrus College on Wednesday night.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons women's basketball team continued its winning streak with a 86-66 victory over Citrus College on Wednesday night.
The Cougars had lost the first match up with the Owls at the beginning of the conference season, but easily handled Citrus at home. COC's win streak improves to four games with the victory.
Sophomore Angelica Sahagun led the way for COC with a 26-point and seven assist performance. Sophomore Jazzmyn Davis added 17 points and 12 rebounds, while freshman Amanda Ajdari scored 15 points and 10 assists.
Canyons dominated from the opening tip and had a 19-point lead by the midway point of the first half. The second half went the same way for the Cougars and the lead grew to as many as 26.
COC will remain home and host Bakersfield College on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m.
