Cougars Come In Second, Sadlon Ties For Fourth
The College of the Canyons women’s golf team carded a 342 on Wednesday afternoon as the squad finished in second place in the Cougar’s fourth conference tournament at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course.
SAN DIMAS, Calif. – The College of the Canyons women's golf team carded a 342 on Wednesday afternoon as the squad finished in second place in the Cougar's fourth conference tournament at San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. With the finish, COC improves to 12-4 and trails Santa Barbara City College who has a 14-0 record.
The women only played nine holes, after the tournament was rained out. The nine-hole score was doubled to get the team's 18-hole score.
Santa Barbara City College won the event, after tallying a 322 and host Citrus College came in third with a 376.
Sophomore Kaylie Sadlon paced the Cougars with her 82, tying her for fourth place. Freshman Andrea Webster and sophomore Madison Lomas had 86s to tie for sixth place and sophomore Ashley Windsor rounded out the Cougar scoring with her 88.
The Cougars will travel to their fifth conference tournament on Monday, Oct. 14 when they head to Santa Barbara Community Golf Course.
