College of the Canyons all-conference goalkeeper Jordan Burrow will transfer to Ottawa University in the fall after committing to continue her playing career as a member of the Braves.
Ottawa University is an National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) program located in Ottawa, Kansas. The Braves, who compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Association (KCAA), will welcome first year head coach Roman Duchateau for the 2018 season.
"I'm so excited to be able to have the chance to play soccer at Ottawa University," said Burrow. "The coaching staff and the team are amazing. I'm going to be very happy to call Ottawa my new home for the next couple years."
Burrow finished the 2017 season with a record of 12-2-1 and five shutouts to help Canyons win its seventh straight conference championship.
She registered 47 saves and a goals against average of 0.53 through 17 games after surrendering just eight goals on the year.
At season's end Burrow was selected to the All-Western State Conference (WSC), East Division First-Team.
Canyons posted an overall record of 17-2-1 and perfect 8-0 mark vs. conference opponents. The conference title was the program's 11th overall.
"Being a part of the COC women's soccer program has been amazing," said Burrow. "I love the coaching staff and how much hard work they put into the team on and off the field.
"They helped me to achieve my dream of playing soccer at the next level," she added.
