Bio

Proyfon Lohaphaisan begins her third season as an assistant coach with the College of the Canyons women’s tennis program in 2024.

A former standout high school and college player, Lohaphaisan also brings several years of youth, high school and collegiate tennis coaching experience and is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).

In addition to her duties at COC, Lohaphaisan is an assistant coach with the Valencia High School girl’s tennis program. She also coaches at The Paseo Club, and previously served as a coach for Tennis Mechanix Academy and the City of Santa Clarita Parks & Recreation community tennis program.

Lohaphaisan starred at nearby Hart High School where she was a four-year varsity player helping the program win two Foothill League titles. 

During her high school career Lohaphaisan was a Foothill League Singles Champion (2013), a Foothill League Doubles Champion (2015) and the 2013 SCV Singles Player of the Year.

Lohaphaisan then went on to compete at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. As the program’s No. 6 singles player and member of No. 1 doubles team she helped QU win three Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) titles.

Ending her college her with 120 career wins, Lohaphaisan was a three time All-MAAC First-Team singles player and was twice awarded with All-MACC First-Team doubles honors.

Additionally, she was a MAAC All-Academic Team and ITA All-Academic Team honoree.

Lohaphaisan earned her Bachelor of Health Science Studies from Quinnipiac University in 2019.
