COC Volleyball Hosts 2016 Alumni Game
The 2016 Lady Cougars squared off in a three-set exhibition vs. a team of program alumni on Saturday night in the Cougar Cage.
The College of the Canyons women's volleybal program hosted its 2016 Alumni Game on Saturday, with more than a dozen former players returning to the Cougar Cage for a three-set exhibition vs. the 2016 team.
Included in the group of alumni were several players from the program's back-to-back-to-back Western State Confernence (WSC) Championship teams spanning the 2013,2014 and 2015 seasons.
Among the most recent alumni were Alize Bricot, Maddy Regan and Emma Levanen who were member's of last year's team which finished a school-best third place at that 2015 CCCAA State Championship Tournament.
Despite a strong performance from the veteran squad, it was the program's current layers that held the overall edge in the match.
The 2016 COC women's volleyball team will begin the regular season vs. Irvine Valley College at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, in the Cougar Cage.
