No. 12 Canyons to Face No. 5 Cypress in First Round of CCCAA SoCal Regionals
Canyons finished second in the WSC, South Division, while Cypress was crowned champion of the Orange Empire Conference.
The College of the Canyons women's volleyball team will enter the postseason as the No. 12 seed in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Women's Volleyball Southern California Regional Playoffs.
In its first round matchup, No. 12 Canyons (19-5, 6-2) will travel to face No. 5 Cypress College (22-2, 15-1) at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22.
Tickets to the CCCAA postseason event are $12 for general admission and $8 for staff, students, and children.

Canyons finished second in the Western State Conference (WSC), South Division, two games behind conference champions Bakersfield College.
The Chargers were crowned champions of the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) for the first time since 2010.
Cypress enters the postseason as the No. 7 ranked team in the state, according to the final regular season statewide rankings.
COC is ranked No. 21.
The two programs last faced each other during the 2016 regular season, with Cypress pulling out a 3-1 (15-25, 16-25, 25-18, 17-25) neutral court victory at the annual Cerritos College Invitational tournament.
In that match, Canyons received double-digit kill totals from freshman Emily Burns (13), Sam Nua (12) and Daniella Villano (10) but was not able to overcome a Chargers team that registered 11 aces and saw the Cougars commit 22 attacking errors.
Canyons is 4-3 in the all-time series vs. the Chargers.
