Head Athletic Trainer Sarah Ehrsam begins her 13th year with the College of the Canyons athletic department in 2017.
As a certified athletic trainer, Ehrsam is responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of activity related injuries and conditions that student-athletes sustain while participating in intercollegiate athletics at COC.
In addition to her athletic training duties, Sarah is also an adjunct faculty member in the college's kinesiology department. She teaches and mentors students interested in careers in sports medicine and is the advisor for the COC Sports Medicine Club. Ehrsam is also a preceptor for the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Athletic Training Education Program and supervises one to three CSUN Athletic Training students every semester.
Prior to joining COC, Ehrsam spent two years in her home state of Texas working for a physical therapist’s office, and was Director of Athletic Training at four junior high schools in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was also an athletic trainer for the Wichita Falls Thunder, a member of the National Indoor Football League.
She received her bachelor’s and master's degree in biblical studies from The Master’s College in 2003 and 2008, respectively, and became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2003.
Ehrsam resides in Valencia.
