Bio

Basil Reale begins his 12th year overall with the Cougars, currently serving as a volunteer assistant coach.

Reale has more than 14 years of coaching experience, including time spent at Valencia High School, Golden Valley High School and the Connie Mack League Playa Vista Orioles.

While not attending to his duties at College of the Canyons Reale works in the produce business, a career he has enjoyed for more than 20 years.

Prior to entering the coaching ranks Reale had a productive high school and collegiate playing career. He was a member of the 1981 City Championship team at Kennedy High School, earning All-League honors in the process.

The following season Reale earned another championship ring, this time as a member of L.A. Valley College’s 1982 California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) State Championship team.

In 2014, Reale was inducted into the L.A. Valley College Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of the 1982 Championship team.

Reale resides in Santa Clarita and enjoys spending time with his teenage son, Mateo.

Some of his favorite hobbies include baseball and golf.

Among his coaching goals are to help College of the Canyons win another State Championship.
