College of the Canyons sophomore offensive tackle Linwood Foy will continue his career at the next level after committing to attend University of Louisville in the fall.
The University of Louisville is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
The Cardinals, who are led by head coach Bobby Petrino, finished last season with an 8-5 record and faced Texas A&M in the 2015 Music City Bowl.
Foy was a two-year player for the Cougars who made the transition to offensive line after starring at defensive end as a freshman in 2014.
During his sophomore campaign he earned Southern California Football Association (SCFA) First-Team honors while anchoring an offensive line that helped the Cougars generate 361.9 yards of total offense a game.
Foy received more than 15 scholarship offers before opting to sign with the Cardinals. Among the schools he received notable attention from are Auburn University, University of Missouri, Texas Tech University, Coastal Carolina University, Illinois State and New Mexico State.
