College of the Canyons offensive tackle Kideam Diouf inked a National Letter of Intent with Arkansas State University on Wednesday, becoming the third former Cougar in as many years to join the Red Wolves football program.
Arkansas State University is an NCAA Division I program located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The Red Wolves compete in the Sun Belt Conference.
Diouf, who is listed at 6'6" and 285 pounds, was a Southern California Football Association (SCFA), National Division, Northern League Second-Team honoree in his single season at COC. He attended high school at Eastern Christian Academy in Elkton, Maryland.

The Cougars also churned out better than 180 rushing yards per game to go with 26 rushing touchdowns. In addition, COC quarterback Armani Edden was named the SCFA Northern League Offensive Player of the Year with the Canyons air attack averaging more than 277 yards per game and racking up 32 touchdowns.
Canyons (9-3, 4-1) shared the 2019 National Division, Northern League championship with Ventura College (8-3, 4-1) and Long Beach City College (7-3, 4-1) before moving on to host Saddleback College in the first round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs.
The Cougars defeated Saddleback 58-53 in the opening round of the postseason before falling to eventual state champion Riverside City College in the Southern California Championship game.
The talented offensive lineman will follow in the footsteps of former COC defensive end Noel Iwuchukwu who signed with the Red Wolves following the 2017 season. Former Canyons wide receiver Leroy Deshazor also made his way to Arkansas State after starring with the Cougars in 2017 and 2018.
