Bio

Dan Corbet begins his 16th year as a member of the Cougars football coaching staff.

Corbet, who joined the staff in 2008, currently serves as the program’s assistant head coach and defensive coordinator. He also oversees all strength and conditioning activities.

He is also an adjunct faculty member in the college’s Kinesiology & Physical Education department. When not attending to his duties at COC, Corbet is a game day statistician with the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Sparks professional basketball franchises.

Prior to joining the staff at Canyons, Corbet worked as as assistant coach and defensive coordinator at New Mexico Highlands University from 2004 to 2008.

Corbet also played linebacker at COC from 1999 to 2001, before transferring to New Mexico Highlands University for the 2002 and 2003 seasons. He attended Valencia High School where he earned All-CIF First Team and All-SCV First Team honors as a senior.

Corbet holds both a bachelor of arts and master of arts degree in exercise science from New Mexico Highlands University.

In his free time Corbet enjoys surfing, snowboarding, golfing, exercise, going to the movies and attending NBA basketball and Dodgers games.

Corbet resides in Valencia with his wife Natalie, kids Leah, Colton and Jake, and dog Scully.
