Bradford and Phipps Earn All-WSC Honors for Canyons
COC freshman Christopher Bradford (17.8 points, 4.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds) was a First-Team selection while Zach Phipps (15.9 points and 4.4 rebounds) earned an Honorable Mention nod.

College of the Canyons will have two members of its men's basketball program represented on the 2019-20 All-Western State Conference (WSC), South Division team with freshman Christopher Bradford and sophomore Zach Phipps both earning post-season accolades.
Bradford led the Cougars and ranked eighth in the WSC with an average of 17.8 points per game to go alongside 4.7 assists and 5.3 rebounds each night out. His assist total ranked second on the squad.
The freshman out of Fremont High School started in 25 of 26 games with his scoring average increasing to just over 19 points per game during conference play.
Bradford reached double digit point totals in all but two of those contests. He shot nearly 42 percent from the floor while leading the team in minutes at near 32 per game and came away with 45 steals to rank fourth in the conference.
Phipps finished his sophomore campaign with an average of 15.9 points per game with 4.4 rebounds each night across 24 starts.
He surpassed the 20-point mark on six occasions including a season-high 31 points in the Cougars' win vs. Orange Coast College back on Dec. 27.
The Saugus High School product shot 42.5 percent from the field and 28.3 percent from three-point territory, while ranking just behind Bradford in minutes played at 31.7 per game.
Canyons had an up-and-down season, finishing the year 9-17 overall with a 2-12 mark vs. conference opponents. The Cougars started the year 7-5 while playing its first six scheduled home games at alternative venues due to ongoing renovations at the Cougar Cage.
