Men's Golf Sets New School Course Record at Valencia Country Club

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The College of the Canyons men's golf team recorded a school course record low of 367 on Monday afternoon at the Valencia Country Club to take the first conference tournament of the 2014 season. With the win, COC starts the season 7-0.

Canyons beat out second-place Santa Barbara City College by 33 strokes after the Vaqueros carded a 400, followed by Ventura College who came in third.

Freshman Jonas Guriby Dahl led the squad with the Cougar's only under par score of the day. Freshman Edouard Fiszel tallied a 72, sophomore Sidney Wolf had a 74 and Aaron Grimes carded a 75. Clayton Chatterley rounded out the Cougar scoring with an 80.

Canyons returns to action on Monday Feb. 7 as they travel to Alisal Ranch Course for the team's second conference tournament of the season.
