SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – The College of the Canyons men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Santa Monica College on Tuesday afternoon at COC's Upper Field. With the loss, Canyons fall to 3-6-3 overall and 3-4-1 in Western State Conference play.
After a scoreless first half, Canyons gave up a score in the 74th minute.
Canyons was outshot 16-13, and but posted eight shots on target. Freshman Thomas Pugliese paced the Cougars with three shot with two on goal.
Freshman goalie Steven Rodriguez notched five saves in the loss.
Canyons returns to action on Friday, Oct. 18 as they host Glendale College.
