GLENDORA — College of the Canyons played its final road game of the season, concluding in a 2-2 draw at Citrus College.

Canyons (4-11-3, 2-2-2) had previously beaten the Owls 3-0 in the first meeting between two two sides in Santa Clarita on Oct. 4.

Citrus (2-10-4, 0-5-1) entered the match still looking for its first conference win and was first to find the back of the net in the fourth minute of the match.

The Cougars evened the playing field in the 26th minute with a goal from freshman Tom Larcier, his fifth on the season with the assist coming from sophomore Drew Leskin.

In the 33rd minute, Canyons was awarded a penalty kick, but Citrus goalkeeper Manny Hernandez made the save to keep the game at 1-1.

A quiet rest of the half followed and continued into the second half, until COC's Arthur Coscas put one away with about 20 minutes to go, good for his first goal of the season. Sophomore Andranik Soghomonian was credited with the assist.

Canyons held the lead for only six minutes before Citrus managed to tie it up after a foul resulted in a penalty kick.

With a few more opportunities on both sides, neither could manage to take the lead resulting in a 2-2 draw.

COC will finish out the regular season at home with back-to-back Friday evening games. The Cougars next host Antelope Valley College at 6 p.m. Nov. 4.

On Friday, Nov. 11 Canyons will host Glendale College for another 6 p.m. start time, this time with a pre-game 'Sophomore Night' ceremony prior to first touch.
