Cougars Recognized with Six All-Conference Selections

College of the Canyons featured six players named to the All-Western State Conference (WSC), South Division team for the 2025 season.
COC freshmen defenders Tommy Vaquerano and Kevin Melquiades were both named to the All-WSC, South Division First-Team based on their efforts while playing on the Cougars' back line.
Vaquerano logged 13 starts in 19 games and recorded an assist, while Melquiades, who attended Hart High School, was part of the starting 11 in nine matches.
Canyons sophomore midfielder Juandiego Rodriguez and freshman forward Ike D'Silva were both named to the All-WSC, South Division Second-Team.
Rodriguez tied for second on the team with three goals and added an assist to up his season point total to seven, also tied for second on the squad.
D'Silva finished as the team leader with four goals. His two assists on the year translated into D'Silva claiming the team lead with 10 points across his 13 games played.
COC sophomores Diego Briseno and Leon Mikailian were both Honorable Mention selections for the Cougars.
Briseno made 13 starts in his 16 appearances in the Canyons midfield and back line.
Mikailian had an offensive impact for the Cougars, with the Golden Valley High School alum playing a variety of positions while scoring three goals to go with an assist in finishing the year with seven points.
Canyons finished the season with an overall record of 5-12-3 with a mark of 3-7 against conference opponents.
