COC Track and Field Shines At Mt. SAC Relays
The College of the Canyons track and field team had four top-three finishes and broke a school record on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays.

WALNUT, Calif. – The College of the Canyons track and field team had four top-three finishes and broke a school record on Saturday at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Sophomore hurdler Laurie Henigan turned in a time of 14.28 to break the school record in the 100-meter hurdles by .04 seconds. She finished in third place in the event and her time is the third-best time in Southern California.
Tim White turned in his best jump of the season in the triple with a leap of 52' 9¼" to take first place. His leap was a few inches short of his personal-best, 54' 1¼ ". With his jump, White was invited to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays Elite Meet for elite, Olympic development and open division athletes on April 19.
State meet qualifier Anthony Fowler came in second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.48 and Joel Estrada turned in a third-place performance in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.90.
The Cougars will host the WSC Prelims on Friday, April 18. The field events will start at 11 a.m. and the track races at noon.
