Lady Cougars Sit in Second Place After 8-1 Home Win vs. Victor Valley
Canyons (5-3, 5-1) trails only Santa Barbara City College (9-1, 7-0) in the Western State Conference (WSC) standings.

The Lady Cougars tennis program has now won in four of its last five outings, including back-to-back home victories, after defeating conference opponent Victor Valley College 8-1 on Thursday.
Canyons (5-3, 5-1) currently sits second in the Western State Conference (WSC) standings, trailing only first place Santa Barbara City College (9-1, 7-0). COC has had two non-conference matches cancelled and a conference match vs. Bakersfield postponed due to inclement weather.
At Thursday match, COC head coach Patty LaBat's squad won all but one singles match. Victor Valley forfeited points in the sixth singles match and third doubles pairing due to a roster shortage.
