SANTA MONICA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons volleyball team won its 10th consecutive match, 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-23) on Wednesday night against Santa Monica College. With the victory, COC improved to 14-2 overall and 5-0 in the Western State Conference, South Division, standings.
The Cougar offense was led by freshman Lauren Underwood who tallied 12 kills, while freshman Sage Hernandez had six. Sophomore Jordan Carter dished out 26 assists to pace the offense. Underwood and freshman Angelica Gonzalez 10 digs each and Hernandez posted five blocks.
The Cougars return to action on Friday, Oct. 25 as they host Bakersfield and 6 p.m.
