No. 25 Canyons Downs West L.A. 3-0
Canyons (5-6, 1-1) has won three of its last four contests and is tied for the No. 25 spot in the most recent California Community College Women’s Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) statewide rankings.

Grace Ferguson recorded a match-high 14 kills and Kayla Tait served up five aces as College of the Canyons made quick work of West L.A. College in a 3-0 home victory. Set scores were 25-22, 25-15, 25-13.
Canyons (5-6, 1-1) has won three of its last four contests and is tied for the No. 25 spot in the most recent California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches Association (CCCWVCA) statewide rankings.
Ferguson's 14 kills came on 16 attacks, good for a .875 hitting percentage. She added four total blocks and an ace to an already impressive stat line.
Kyra Titner was second with eight kills, while Madison Martinez and Tait both finished the game with seven. Titner hit at a .545 clip.
Cecillia Giovannini added six aces and nine assists in her two sets of action. As a team, Canyons netted 17 points from the back line.
COC will next host Antelope Valley College (5-5) at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Fans should be reminded that all COC women's volleyball home games will be played at The Master's University located at 21726 Placerita Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. Admission is free.
