No. 25 Canyons Takes Streak to Three in Straight Sets vs. Glendale
The Cougars (5-8, 3-1) have lost just one match since Western State Conference (WSC), South Division play began on Sept. 29.

No. 25 College of the Canyons continued its winning ways on Monday, this time defeating visiting Glendale College in straight sets for a third straight win. Set scores were 25-16, 25-16, 25-22.
Canyons (5-8, 3-1) has lost just one match since Western State Conference (WSC), South Division play began on Sept. 29. The Cougars have dropped just one set during the current three-game streak.
The Cougars saw 14 players register points in the scorebook, led by nine kills apiece from Caitlin Liebe and Brianna Botello. Daniela Cabrera followed with seven kills and Damani Harvey ended the night with six scoring swings.
Alyssa Alcarez (16), Katlyn Stadtlander (14) and Abby Sherman (10) split setter responsibilities throughout the match, with each playing a full set.
Emily Hanna led the way with 10 kills, while Alcarez added nine of her own.
Canyons registered six services aces in the game compared to none for the Vaqueros. COC also hit .337 as a team with Glendale checking in at .126.
The Cougars currently rank as the No. 25 team in the state according to the most recent CCCWVCA statewide ranking released Oct. 18.
COC will take to the road on Wednesday, Oct. 20, for conference road match at Antelope Valley College. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
