Canyons Falls 66-61 vs. Cypress College

College of the Canyons dropped its matchup vs. Cypress College on Wednesday, as the visiting Chargers walked away with the 66-61 victory.
The Chargers (5-6) maintained a lead for majority of the game, with the final result coming down to a difference in three pointers.
Canyons (3-6) shot just 20 percent from behind the arc, while the Chargers worked for a 31 percent mark. Both teams were within one percent of each other from the field.
COC managed to narrow the score to within two points with nearly four minutes to go in the second half on a layup from sophomore Jonah El-Farra.
However, Cypress kept the Cougars at bay for the next few minutes eventually claiming the road victory.
COC freshman Josh Barnett was the top shooter on the night for the Cougars, putting down 14 points in the game.
Fellow freshman, Raz Orbach worked for a total of 10 points and led the team in rebounds, finishing with 10 altogether, including six offensive boards.
El-Farra wasn't far behind with 10 points on the night and eight rebounds of his own.
Canyons saw a collective 13 points from its reserves coming from Jeremiah Walker, Logan Ghoumari and Isaiah Ortega.
The Cougars are back in the Cougar Cage on Friday Dec. 15 hosting Rio Hondo College. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
