SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons baseball team notched 10 hits on Saturday afternoon to defeat Cerritos 4-1.
COC pitcher Cory Jones went five innings for his second win of the season, and Alberto Flores picked up his first save of the season, as he pitched four shutout innings. Jones allowed four hits with four walks and six strikeouts, while Flores allowed two hits and struck out two.
COC first baseman Jake Jelmini added three hits and scored twice for the Cougars. COC second baseman Chad DeLaGuerra had two hits and a RBI and COC third baseman Brett Piper also had two hits.
