SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons baseball team dominated first-place Glendale College 11-5 on Tuesday afternoon to increase its conference win streak to 10.
Ryan Paramo received the win, as he pitched five innings, allowed four earned runs and struck out two. Julian Garcia pitched three scoreless innings in relief, allowing three hits and striking out four, in his first save of the year.
The Cougars scored two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings to break open the game, while holding Glendale to just two runs.
Trey Williams and Kevin Lenik each hit two-run homers, while combining for four hits and six RBIs. Infielders Ivan Vela and Chad DeLaGuerra each had two RBIs and combined for three runs scored.
COC will travel to Glendale on Thursday, April 4 for a 2:30 p.m. game.
