CULVER CITY, Calif. – The College of the Canyons baseball team defeated West LA College 8-4 on Tuesday afternoon at West LA College. The Cougars improve to 15-13-1 and 11-5 in conference play and West LA drops to 4-23 and 3-13 in Western State Conference games. The Cougars also took sole possession of second place with a Glendale loss.
JD Krauskopf was 2-of-3 with three RBIs and Jose Haros went 2-of-4 on the afternoon with a RBI.
Starting pitcher Ryan Paramo (2-0) earned his second win of the season, in his first start of the year, after tossing 7.0 innings and giving up three runs on six hits, while striking out four. Tim Han garnered his third save, pitching one inning of scoreless and hit less relief.
The Cougars will return to action on Thursday, April 10 when they host West LA at 2:30 p.m.
