Cougars Set To Take On No. 1 Fullerton.
The National Division, Northern Conference, champion College of the Canyons football team was announced to play No. 1 Fullerton College on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the National Bowl, which acts as a one-of-two playoff games for Southern California.
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The National Division, Northern Conference, champion College of the Canyons football team will play No. 1 Fullerton College on Saturday, Nov. 23 in the National Bowl, which acts as a one-of-two playoff games for Southern California, it was announced on Sunday. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Yorba Linda High School.
The Cougars enter the playoffs for the first time since the 2008 season when the team was one win shy of the state championship.
Canyons finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and 5-1 record in conference play and earned the programs' 11th title and first since 2008. The Cougars were winners of eight in a row after dropping the first game of the season to another playoff team, Golden West College. The Cougars saw their streak break in the final week of the season, falling 34-29 to Allan Hancock.
Fullerton College enters the match up with a perfect 10-0 record and the top ranking in the National Division, while winning the Southern Conference title. The Hornets did have close games with second-ranked Riverside and Saddleback College, winning by two and four points respectively.
The winner of Saturday's game will take on the winner of the Golden West/Riverside match up on Saturday Nov. 30 at the higher seed.

Tickets for the game can only be bought at the gate. Adults (10 and up) are $10, seniors (62 and over with ID) are $5, students with ID and ASB stickers are $5, children under 10 are free.
