Former College of the Canyons Lineman Named NAIA All-American
LINDSBORG, KAN. — Bethany College offensive lineman — and former College of the Canyons student-athlete — Brooks Porter has been named a 2014 USA College Football NAIA All-American Second Team selection.
The 6'2 and 280-pound junior played a major role on Bethany College's offensive line this season.
As a unit, the offensive line surrendered less than three sacks per game while opening holes that resulted in Bethany College averaging more than 170 yards of rushing offense per game.
A graduate of Alemany High School, Porter played at COC in 2013 where he anchored an offensive line that helped the Cougars win a Southern California Football Association (SCFA) National Division, Northern Conference championship.
At the conclusion of the 2013 season Porter also received All-National Division, Northern Conference honors for the Cougars.
