New Rankings — No. 3 Canyons Moves Closer to State's Top Spot
Canyons (6-0) has remained undefeated with wins over four straight state-ranked opponents.

College of the Canyons moved up a spot to No. 3 in this week's California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll after beating its fourth straight state ranked opponent and improving to 6-0 on the season,
Canyons holds the No. 3 spot behind a first-place tie at the top of the poll between co-No. 1 College of San Mateo and City College of San Francisco. No. 4 Ventura College is next followed by No. 5 Golden West.
The Cougars also continue to rank No. 4 in the statewide JC Athletic Bureau Coaches Poll. Those rankings see No. 1 San Mateo followed by No. 2 Ventura, No. 3 San Francisco, Canyons and No. 5 Golden West.

COC will continue its SCFA National Division, Northern League schedule vs. Allan Hancock College at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22.
AHC ranks No. 15 in the CCCSIA poll and No. 11 in the JC Athletic Bureau's list.
Canyons enters the game having beaten state ranked opponents Fullerton, Palomar, Riverside City and Bakersfield College in successive weeks.
Allan Hancock, which started the season 3-0, rebounded after a week four loss at Fullerton to win its last outing 31-23 at East L.A. College on Oct. 16. The Bulldogs had their week five game vs. Mt. San Antonio College postponed.
