Cougars Dominate Victor Valley In Season and Home Opener

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Freshman forward Noe Ramirez score two goals in the Cougars' season and home opener against Victor Valley on Friday night to lead the team to a 4-0 victory. Three different COC soccer players tallied goals in a total domination of visiting Victor Valley. WSC Conference Player of the Year Andres Bueno broke through in the 31st minute, with the assist from Vicente Arredondo. COC doubled its lead in the 53rd minute as Chuey Salazar earned his first score of the year. The second half belonged to Ramirez who added two more scores, including one from 35-yards out. COC finished with 18 shots, putting 11 on net and Victor Valley had five shots, one on net. Alex Burkevics had one save in goal while playing the full 90 minutes. COC returns to action on Friday, Sept. 3, as they travel to Chaffey for a 4 p.m. match-up.
