VISALIA, Calif. – Two College of the Canyons penalty kicks ended College of the Sequoias undefeated season and edged the Cougars past Sequoias, 2-1.
Jesus Pescador and Juan Camacho netted penalty kicks ensuring a 2-1 road victory over Sequoias College Friday afternoon.
The Cougars played part of the game a man down after COC forward Thomas Pugliese was shown a red card.
Forward Alfredo Vazquez notched Sequoias' lone goal in the 26th minute of the first half.
The victory ups College of the Canyons' record to 2-1-0. The loss marks College of the Sequioas first defeat of the season and drops their record to 4-1-0.
The Cougars next host Santa Monica College at 4 p.m Tuesday, Sept. 16.
