Women's Basketball Team Donned No. 13 Squad in Regional Playoffs
The College of the Canyons women's basketball team was tabbed as the No. 13 seed in the 2014 CCCAA Women's Basketball Regional Championships, and will travel to No. 4 Pasadena City College on Friday, Feb. 28 for a second-round game, it was announced on Monday afternoon.

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - The College of the Canyons women's basketball team was tabbed as the No. 13 seed in the 2014 CCCAA Women's Basketball Regional Championships, and will travel to No. 4 Pasadena City College on Friday, Feb. 28 for a second-round game, it was announced on Monday afternoon.
The Cougars finished the regular season winners of their last 5-of-7 games and catapulted to the top of the Western State Conference, North Division, standings to end in a three-way tie with Moorpark and Cuesta College. Canyons completed the season with a 13-14 record and 7-5 conference season.
The playoff bid marks the 21st consecutive post-season berth.
Pasadena City College finished in second place in the South Coast Conference, North Division, with at 21-7 overall record and 10-3 conference record.
The winner of the game will take on the winner of No. 5 Long Beach City/No. 12 Mt. San Jacinto game on Wednesday, March 5.
