Cougars Finish Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic with 2-1 Record
On Saturday, Canyons picked up a 68-56 win against Rio Hondo College, in it's most impressive performance of the tourney.
The College of the Canyons women's basketball team participated in the Mt. SAC Tip-Off Classic last weekend, with the Cougars finishing the tourney with a record of 2-1.

COC freshman guard Sara Ward led all scorers in that contest with 21 points while shooting 9-of-13 from the field.
The Canyon High School graduate also finished with double-digit point totals in all three of COC's tourney games.
Fellow Canyon High product Monica Friedl also had a big weekend, with double-digit points in every game, including 17 points and nine rebounds vs. Rio Hondo.
The six-foot-inch sophomore also pulled down 33 rebounds over the weekend.
COC head coach Greg Herrick and the Cougars will continue to participate in tournaments across the state, before Western State Conference (WSC) play begins on Jan. 6.
