LANCASTER — College of the Canyons had four players finish in double figures, including a team-high 25 points from Monique Febles, to earn a decisive 82-59 road win over Antelope Valley College on Saturday.
Canyons quickly built a 22-8 lead after the first quarter of play before seeing its place slow slightly.
The Cougars later led 36-20 at the break thanks in large part to Febles' 15 points in the opening half.

AVC (10-11, 3-4) played Canyons a bit closer in the second half, but could not get any closer to victory after shooting just under 35 percent for the game.
COC freshman LuLu Salloom had 18 points and 18 rebounds and Justice Walters added 19 points of her own.
Sophomore Malia Semana's stat line included 10 points and six assists. Sophomore Diamyn Davis was the only bench player to score for the Cougars, ending the game with eight points and 10 rebounds.
